“After two years working in New York City’s startup scene, I saw first hand the economic power of entrepreneurship.  I didn't have this exposure at home or in college (shout out to Howard University) and through research discovered that many young people of color lack access and exposure to wealth education. 

 

These future leaders are entering adulthood with minimal understanding of personal finance, investing, and entrepreneurship, tools that empower families and communities to thrive.  In 2014, driven by an awareness of the capacity of these youth and the urgent need to break cycles of poverty, I built Student Dream to create generational wealth in communities of color."
